In compliance with the COP21 objective signed in 2015 in Paris, limiting global warming below 2°C requires that this electrification is based on low carbon generation. In this context, renewable energies and recyclability have a decisive role to play. Many solutions already exist to bring electricity with solar energy in the most remote places. All of them use same key components such as solar panels, storage solutions, power electronics solution, low voltage equipment, protection, cables, etc.
 
However, as the lifespan of such equipment mainly depends on very sensitive components such as battery and solar panels, it has become urgent to think about second life and recyclability value chains to limit carbon emissions, reduce electronics waste, and decrease the use of rare metals, while simultaneously maintaining or complementing a viable business model. To cope with these challenges, we need to innovate the recyclability stream of used components including packaging.
 
These ideas raise several questions:
  • Which ecosystem do we have to implement to build such value chain?
  • How to valorize the second life of used component?
  • What will be the business, social and environmental impact?
  • How to measure and evaluate it?

作为在使用端完全清洁二次能源,氢被广泛视为二十一世纪的终极能源。当前氢能应用各个环节的技术成熟度仍然较低,生产储运成本居高不下。但随着“双碳目标的提出,现有能源技术基本面下氢能——尤其是“绿氢——利用技术的不可替代性逐步凸显,众多行业巨头加速布局氢能,绿氢之“热”,正在迅速落地生根。

目前制氢原料仍以化石燃料为主,普遍存在制氢成本高、碳排放污染等问题,而氢能产业可持续发展的前提是清洁无污染,制氢原料应从化石燃料向可再生能源(风能、太阳能、水能等)方向逐渐转变。另外,由于能量密度、安全性等问题,氢能产业链在储存、运输等环节仍存在明显短板,关键技术突破尚未完成,下游大规模应用面临瓶颈。

近年来,“碳达峰”和“碳中和”成为关注的热点。为应对气候变化,2020年我国在联合国大会上明确提出,中国二氧化碳排放力争于2030年前达到峰值,努力争取2060年前实现碳中和,为了实现双碳目标,开发和利用绿色氢能源是重中之重。我们聚焦挖掘绿氢制备、储存、运输、利用及绿氨、甲醇、甲基环己烷等下游相关载体的制储运用各个环节先进技术人才,汇聚创新力量,共同推动绿氢产业发展。

零碳城市与零碳园区

高浪 博士 清华四川能源互联网研究院能源消费智能化研究所所长

城市贡献了全球75%的能源消费和70%的二氧化碳排放,但同时也是重要的经济引擎和创新汇聚地,实现“碳达峰、碳中和”,离不开零碳城市的建设,而零碳城市建设的关键,就在于构建一个绿色、智慧的城市能源系统。

城市能源系统的零碳转型将体现在以下几个方面。首先,清洁能源逐渐成为城市能源主体,随着电能替代加速,城市中交通、锅炉、制冷等领域原来大量使用的煤炭、油气等能源,将逐步由绿色的电能所替代。同时,城市能源系统逐步实现互联互通,“未来,冷、热、电、气全部要打通,城市能源系统整体效率得到提高。”,此外,能源消费模式也呈现多样化,电动汽车、新型储能、分布式微网广泛接入,用户将从原来单一的消费者同步变成能源的生产者。

我们致力于为未来的零碳城市建设一个更加绿色、智慧的能源系统,希望能够通过这次比赛发掘到城市级及园区级碳计量管理、新一代智能电表、需求侧响应、智能充电桩、以及智慧能源管理、电力消费智慧化等领域的技术创新人才,共同推动零碳城市能源系统智慧化转型。

功率半导体相关技术

李晓钊 清华四川能源互联网研究院直流研究中心技术总监

电能作为人类消耗的最大能源之一。从手机、电视、洗衣机、到高速列车,均离不开电能,但无论是水电、核电、火电还是风电,甚至各种电池提供的化学电能,大部分均无法直接使用,75%以上的电能应用都需由功率半导体器件进行功率变换以后才能供设备使用。

拥有高性能的功率半导体器件是进行高效电源管理的物质基础。由于其将“粗电”变为“精电”的关键能力,先进功率半导体是双碳背景下实现节能减排的关键技术关口。此外,功率半导体的产品寿命周期相对较长,其生产不追求尺寸的快速缩小,与不要求最先进的生产工艺,具有巨大的产业发展潜力。

近年来,功率半导体的应用范围已从传统的工业控制和4C产业(计算机、通信、消费类电子产品和汽车),扩展到新能源(风电、太阳能)、轨道交通、智能电网等新领域,市场前景也已跃升至千亿级别。以碳化硅、氮化镓为代表的第三代半导体材料可以满足高温、高功率、高压、高频以及抗辐射等新需求,且拥有体积小、污染少、损耗低等优异特性,是未来几年行业发展的核心驱动力。我们希望能够通过比赛挖掘新能源、智能电网等领域的功率半导体技术创新精英人才,共同推动双碳背景下,功率半导体产业的技术进步与跨越发展。
